Blues Harp
Choosing your harp is half the battle.
If you want to play blues harp, you need to be able to "bend" notes to get that "bluesy" sound. To play cross-harp you flatten notes in your scale by simultaneously choking off some of the air and sucking or drawing air through the reed chamber.

Just a lovin spoonful...
Mississippi John Hurt coined the phrase "Just a lovin' spoonful" in a song called the Coffee Blues. In the song, Hurt says what he misses most about his woman is that cup of "Max'ells" House coffee she'd fix for him. The rock group of the same name saw Hurt perform in Greenwich Village during the early sixties and chose the line for the name of their new band.
